We have been so blessed over the years to have shared our lives with these remarkable and loyal creatures. All special in their own unique way, occupying a place in our heart and soul, each like no other. We are among the luckiest people in the world. I wrote the poem below when our "heart" dog, "Major" passed away in February 2009 just shy of 13 yrs. old. I hope it brings some comfort to those of you who have suffered a loss.
